One of the primary missions of Citizennewscaster.com is to encourage cross-cultural dialog by amplifying the wise voices that exist within our many communities. Recently, CitizenNewscaster had the pleasure of meeting Mark Morrison-Reed who has written a book entitled “In Between: Memoirs of an integration baby." Though the inspiration for the book is taken from Mark Morrison-Reed's personal experiences, at some level Mark’s story is everyone’s story in that it is an intriguing examination of how the experiences of our ancestors culminate in and are lived out by each one of us. Not only does Mark Morrison-Reed bring a fresh and unique perspective to issues of race and of culture, but his story advances the evolution of race relations and of what it means to belong.
