Cafe 3-1-6 is Monterey's Alternative Media Incubator
Through out history, coffee houses have been flash points for artistic creativity and inspired thought. They have been places where new art forms have been conceived and where social movements have been birthed. Cafe 3-1-6, as a crucible for alternative media, has brought the historic creativity of the coffee house ambience into the technology infused millennia. On any given day at Cafe 3-1-6 amongst the aroma of freshly ground coffee beans, coffee connoisseurs can overhear local media entrepreneurs, writers, story tellers, television producers, bloggers and the like planning the next edition or the next show or recounting events of the previous nights gig. And Cafe 3 1 6 seems to be an unofficial rendezvous of Monterey's Foolish Times Newspaper where witty jokesters and prophets combine to weave their humorous tales.
