In 2006, to further his career in education he enrolled into CSUMB’s Instructional Science and Technology Program in which he was assigned to create an online video. That assignment was a cathartic experience for Timothy, and while his classmates focused on managing online education, Timothy chose a divergent path and set out to become a premiere distributor of online media. Though he graduated from the program with a perfect 4.0 he veered away from education to achieve his multi-media production and distribution goals. Now several years later, in addition to CitizenNewscaster.com he produces two television shows, and works with partners to simulcast content across the media platforms of radio, television and the internet.
In 2007, while still enrolled at CSUMB, Timothy began forming his new multi media production and internet streaming enterprise, The Digital Streaming Network, and he envisioned the CitizenNewscaster.com website. It was during this time period that Timothy made his first visit to Access Monterey Peninsula where his intense interest in perfecting his production skills were nurtured. Timothy says, “Everyone at Access Monterey Peninsula (AMP) has been extremely helpful. AMP has a skilled production team, and because they are a non-profit, they afford the community at large access to knowledge and equipment.”
Believing that public access media is an important community asset, Timothy is bringing public access directly into the center of Downtown Monterey. With the support of Yvonne Boltz, the owner of Café 316, Timothy utilizes the café as a television production studio. Serving coffee and light meals by day, on production nights the café is transformed into the set of two new public access television shows both of which are produced before live audiences. Evening Insight is a variety talk show that addresses local reactions to issues of regional and national concern, and Twilight Monterey is a music and interview show which will soon be syndicated by a regional television broadcast network.
In addition to serving individual and corporate clients, The Digital Streaming Network produces multi-media for television and radio broadcast and internet streaming. Contact the Digital Streaming Network at (831) 706-2728 |
